We went to the family service at church. The Trauger's played a big part. Kirsten played piano, our family lit the Advent Wreath - Kirsten read the words and I lit the candles, all but the Christ candle, it was too high for me and Joe had to help and Kirsten brought down the communion wafers to the alter. It was a really nice service. I remember when we lived in Prior Lake, our church would hold its Christmas Eve service in a barn...I always remembered how neat that was to be in a similar setting to where He was born.

Tradition is to open one gift on Christmas Eve.
